Exclusive First Look: Bambah’s New Campaign Features Local Influencers

“I want the Bambah Girl to dress for herself and not for anyone else”

If you’re in the market for some glamorous and feminine dresses this season, head to Bambah’s Citywalk boutique. The label’s autumn/winter 2017 collection, which designer Maha Abdul Rasheed named The Romance of Josephine, features dreamy frocks in pastel colours and floral prints in luxurious materials such as silk jacquard and metallic woven threads. “This collection is all about the richness of fabric,” says the designer. “I wanted to create an ultra-feminine look with romantic dresses and flowers falling off the shoulders. It’s all about the different styles, shapes and colours of flowers with an abundance of lilacs, irises, hydrangeas, tulips, violets and magnolias all printed or embroidered on exquisite appliqués.”

While the label has built a loyal international fan base that includes red-carpet regulars such as Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka Chopra, Amal Clooney, Maisie Williams, Dita Von Teese and Karolina Kurkova, this season it’s celebrating its Arab roots by collaborating with a series of Middle Eastern girls-about-town, who star in a shoot showcasing the collection.
