#StyledByCed: Celebrity Stylist Cedric Haddad is Forecasting A Wardrobe Whiteout For Summer 2024

Time to start investing in a white edit as the ultimate summertime staple

Feeling all white? It’s time to be bold and throw caution to the wind: the catwalks have confirmed that this season’s silhouettes best suit a porcelain colour palette. From beachy maxi-dresses to tailored two-pieces, follow a pale path – ideally with an abundance of texture – to stay on trend.

The Microcosm

Channel Kendall Jenner’s opening look for the Versace show and you’ll be on the right track. From Chanel and Valentino (which got Kaia Gerber’s seal of approval), to Akris – which incorporated fringing for added flourish – the catwalks heralded high hemlines, in the lightest of hues.

Bag Ladies

Thinking of adding a splash of colour to your look? Don’t. Monochrome was the mantra for designers, with accessories sticking to the white style guide. And if you’re planning on splashing out on a singular piece, make sure it’s a handbag.

Feet First

Eye-catching designs by Alaïa, Mach & Mach, and Miu Miu prove that everything from pointy-toed pumps to chunky loafers, mules and of course ballerinas – this season’s biggest hit – will be on your white wishlist.

Making A Statement

Go big or go home – that’s my take when it comes to adding extras to finish your ensemble. Mega earrings, massive shades, and chunky necklaces are my top tips when it comes to styling this season.
