Swarovski’s S/S24 Eyewear Collection Sparkles Against the Mykonos Sunset

To showcase Swarovski’s dazzling new eyewear collection, global tastemakers gathered on the glittering Greek island

Designed by Global Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert and inspired by the maison’s most iconic jewellery families, Swarovski’s new eyewear collection is turning heads.

For its unveiling, a tribe of tastemakers were invited to Mykanos – there is perhaps no better light for illuminating crystals and fine jewels – where the new sunglasses styles, including the Constella, Lucent, Imber, Matrix and Swan designs, could dazzle.

The new Constella sunglasses are inspired by Swarovski’s Constella jewelry, a collection that references pinprick stars to radiate brilliance through every crystal. Within the collection, oversized ombré wraparound lenses are mounted on metal frames while stylized cat eye silhouettes add elegance with intricate frame shapes and wavy temples.

To kick off the celebrations, the first evening in Mykonos saw a scintillating cocktail dinner at NOEMA, where guests indulged in delicious Greek delicacies. The adornment for the table? The brand’s scintillating sunglasses and beach-ready jewellery collections, flickering in the candle light.

The next day began bright and early, as guests spent the morning at a relaxing poolside yoga session, offering a serene start under the warm Mykonos sun. The afternoon was marked by a luxurious boat trip along the Mykonian coastline, where guests swam in crystal-clear waters. The Mykonos sea sparkles like nothing else; the perfect partner for the brand and its new designs.

Certain pieces, such as the swan-inspired Mask sunglasses, embellished with more than 300 crystals, pay homage to the brand’s rich heritage. Founded in 1895 in Austria, the company designs, manufactures, and sells the world’s finest crystals, Swarovski Created Diamonds and zirconia, as well as jewellery, fashion accessories, and home décor. Now, the Swarovski Crystal Business is represented in over 140 countries worldwide with 3,500 Swarovski boutiques. That’s some serious sparkle.
