‘Crazy Rich Asians’ Star Awkwafina Just Wore The Most Dreamy Reem Acra Gown
Her make-up artist reveals how to get her red carpet beauty look
Crazy Rich Asians is nearing its hotly-anticipated August 15 release date and the cast are in full premiere-cum-press mode. Nora Lum, known by the stage name Awkwafina, attended last night’s premiere in Los Angeles and chose the most dreamy Reem Acra number for the occasion.
The 29-year old actress wore a pale pink gown from the brand’s pre-fall 2018 collection. She paired it with David Webb jewels, a red Jimmy Choo clutch to match the red bow on the back of the dress, and Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

Awkwafina’s hair was kept in Old Hollywood-style waves. Her make-up artist, Kirin Bhatty, shared on Instagram that she used Joanna Vargas skincare to create a fresh and flawless complexion, and Dior make-up to create a bold red lip to match her red accessories.

The Crazy Rich Asians star shared a photo on her own social media channel from the premiere, writing: “A dream come true. We came, we conquered.”
This isn’t the first time Awkwafina has worn a gown from this Lebanese design house, the actress wore a sheer white silk kaftan from Reem Acra’s resort 2018 collection to the New York premiere of Ocean’s 8. Hueb diamond and pearl earrings, an IVY NY moonstone ring and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes finished her look.
