Even without hard data, it would hardly be a stretch of the imagination to say that Bottega Veneta was one of the most prominent brands of 2019.
Thankfully, we needn't make such proclamations in vain, because global fashion search engine Lyst has named Daniel Lee's version of the famed Italian maison as their 'Breakout Brand' of the year.
Announced as part of their 'Year In Fashion' report, an in-depth analysis of online consumer behaviour, press and social media coverage, Lyst reported that demand for Bottega Veneta's 'It'-shoes and accessories spiked 53% this year.
Based on their report, the brand also climbed 21 places in the Q3 Lyst Index 'hottest brands' ranking, securing them a place on the list for the very first time.
Not only did Bottega Veneta earn the title of 'Breakout Brand' of 2019, it also procured the top two positions on the fashion search engine's 'World's Most Wanted' products list.
According to Lyst's data, the fashion house's celebrity-loved 'Pouch' bag sparked more than 10,000 views per month since its launch, with pageviews on Lyst increasing by 297% in September.
Appearing next to 'The Pouch', Bottega Veneta's barely there 'Stretch Sandals' (pictured below) came in second on the 'World's Most Wanted' list.
High in demand throughout the year (and a street style favourite at all of the fashion weeks), searches for the shoe spiked in July 2019, increasing by 471%.
