Burberry and Vivienne Westwood have teased more details on their upcoming collaboration, which was first announced this summer. Two of Britain's most beloved brands are coming together to honour of British style and heritage.
Both fashion houses took to their Instagram Stories to post a short video clip (above) which revealed that the collection would include a mini kilt and lace-up platforms in the iconic Burberry check. They also announced that the limited-edition collection would be available to buy from Thursday 6 December.
Both brands will presumably continue to tease more of the collection up until this date.
Riccardo Tisci, Burberry's new chief creative officer, first revealed the news that he was planning to work alongside one of his design inspirations in a post shared to Instagram in July. The designer shared a black-and-white image of himself with Westwood and her husband and design partner, Andreas Kronthaler, writing: "Vivienne was one of the first designers who made me dream to become a designer."
Tisci previously held the position of creative director at Givenchy for 12 years, before departing the French fashion house to succeed Christopher Bailey as chief creative officer at Burberry in March.
"When I first started at Burberry, I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to approach her to do something," said Tisci of his collaboration with Westwood. "She is a rebel, a punk and unrivalled in her unique representation of British style, which has inspired so many of us. I am so incredibly proud of what we will be creating together.”

It marks the first collaboration for Burberry under Tisci, who unveiled his debut collection for the house in September.
