Camila Coelho’s Cannes Outfit Costs $1 Million

What does a $1 million dollar outfit look like? Just take a look at global fashion and beauty influencer Camila Coelho at Cannes Film Festival yesterday. The 30-year-old blogger made a stunning debut at the opening ceremony in a custom Ralph & Russo Haute Couture dress.
The London designers, rumored to be designing Meghan Markle’s wedding dress, created a unique mullet dress for the star-studded occasion. It featured a fitted black velvet strapless mini dress with an asymmetrical 7-foot silk organza train frill train. The dress took a whopping 500 hours to create, and was shared with Coelho’s 7.1 million Instagram followers.
This isn’t the first time she has worked with the designers—in January, they tapped her to walk in their Spring 2018 Haute Couture show in Paris where she closed the show as their couture bride. While she’s become a pro at posing for the cameras, this was the first time the style blogger walked in a runway show.
Tamara Ralph, one half of the design duo behind Ralph & Russo, named Coelho as one of their muses. “Working on a custom couture piece with Camila for this season’s Cannes Film Festival could not have been more inspirational. Camila continues to be the ultimate muse; she has a real affinity with the direction of the brand and epitomizes the Ralph & Russo woman in every sense,” said the designer.
To up the ante, as one does at Cannes Film Festival—Coelho also added some major bling to her look. Messika’s 79 carat ‘love knot’ necklace, along with matching earrings and rings completed her red carpet look.
This year the festival’s opening night attendees screened Asghar Farhadi’s “Everybody Knows.” The thriller stars Oscar-winning couple Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem who were also on the red carpet to promote their film, along with jurors Kristen Stewart, Cate Blanchett and Lea Seydoux.
