The ‘Mystic’ handbag, inspired by Clare Waight Keller’s Haute Couture designs, is a statement silhouette of both sophistication and grace

Artistic Director for Givenchy and the woman behind the Meghan Markle’s bespoke wedding gown, Clare Waight Keller, is the ‘mystique’ inspiration behind the Paris-based fashion house’s newest unveiling. The pre-fall 2019 launch of the couture collection saw the release of the Mystic, a stand-out silhouette with sculptural elements and elegant curves.

The House of Givenchy handbag showcases classic haute couture signatures from the fashion house, whilst also proposing fresh and original notions of both strength and restriction.

Versatility was key in the design of the bag: it comes in eight neutral colourways, from ivory to tan to soft grey, making it adaptable to almost any outfit. Designed in fine calfskin, the soft body of the handbag opens to reveal a contrasting colour of the suede. Inside is a hand-crafted bombé pillow to guarantee the wearers comfort and a removable and adjustable strap, should you fancy to stylise the bag to wear it as a cross-body accessory.

The gold hardware toughens up the bag and adds a stylish streak to the soft, supple leather, Givenchy has also updated their incarnations with the maison‘s stamp emblazoned on this season’s must-have, in the form of a double-G clasp on the front.
