The Arab world has been eagerly awaiting Hend Sabry’s appearance on the red carpet after it was announced that the Tunisian-born Egypt-based actress would be the first-ever Arab women to sit on the judging panel.
Sabry wore a black custom-made dress from Italian brand Etro, a subtle sartorial nod to the Italian city hosting her for the week. The gown featured hand embroidered with sequins in different shades of blue with black duchess ruffles.

Ahead of her red carpet appearance, the actress shared a post on Instagram expressing her excitement to be part of the festival. "I am proud to belong to the international cinema family being part of the panel of juries of the most prestigious festival in the world - VIFF - under the management of Albert Barbera and chaired by the Serbian director and head of the panel of juries."
