H&M’s latest designer collab is with none other than Giambattista Valli, Italian-French courturier known for his highly-coveted, red carpet creations. The face of the anticipated forthcoming capsule is, of course, Kendall Jenner, who attended the amfAR gala in May earlier this year dressed in that iconic hot-pink, couture-inspired tulle dress that we’re still not over, pulled straight out of Giambattista Valli’s capsule for H&M.
Harper’s BAZAAR Arabia caught up with the in-demand supermodel in an exclusive interview to take us through all the details on the highly anticipated capsule collection.
HBA: What is it specifically about wearing the Giambattista Valli x H&M collection that makes you feel fabulous?
Kendall: I love the dramatic yet accessible silhouettes of Giambattista Valli x H&M collection, they make me feel powerful and effortless, which is what being fabulous is all about in my opin-ion. It’s also the personal touches throughout the collection that make me really connect to the pieces. It’s like wearing a little piece of Giamba himself!

HBA: What are your thoughts about the Giambattista Valli x H&M collection?
Kendall: It’s all so beautiful. The level of detail is incredible, which is very Giambattista Valli, but there’s also this wonderful high-low mix of pieces that includes embellished sweatshirts and really fun jewellery. And it’s going to be so amazing to see all these people around the world wearing the Giambattista Valli x H&M collection. I love the idea that the Valli universe is expanding and joining forces with H&M.
HBA: What are your favourite pieces from the Giambattista Valli x H&M collection?
Kendall: I can’t help but love the red tulle dress with the asymmetrical hem that I’m wearing in the campaign, but I also could see myself in the leather trousers or carrying one of the hand-bags.

HBA: How would you personally style those pieces from the Giambattista Valli x H&M collection?
Kendall: The red tulle dress I would wear with my favourite pair of heels, but could also do some flat boots. The red leather trousers would be perfect with a vintage t-shirt and some sneakers. And for the handbags, they could go with anything really!
HBA: What was the most memorable or fun moment from the Giambattista Valli x H&M campaign shoot in Rome?
Kendall: Being in Giamba’s hometown was truly something special. And he had all these amazing recommendations of places to eat or visit. It’s always fun to have an insider’s point of view of a city so we all had a great time with many laughs and memories that I’ll cherish forever.
HBA: What do you admire most about Giambattista Valli’s designs?
Kendall: I admire most the creativity and humanity that Giambattista puts into each of his designs. When you see them and then get to wear them, it really has an effect on you but at the same time, you totally feel like yourself. That’s a special skill and a gift to the rest of us.
