For her wedding in 2011, Kate Middleton wore Alexander McQueen shoes that were made from ivory duchesse satin and hand-embroidered with lace. They were hardly seen under her now-iconic Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding dress, and were only confirmed to be by the same designer six years after the wedding.
We have a feeling that if the Duchess of Cambridge were to get married today, there's a chance she may opt for a different pair.
The reason? Two of Middleton's favourite designers are joining forces on a bridal shoe line. L.K.Bennett—the brand that makes her trusty patent nude pumps—and Jenny Packham—whose designs have been worn by Middleton multiple times—are creating a line of bridal shoes that have been inspired by old Hollywood glamour.

Based on the designs that have been released so far, L.K.Bennett and Jenny Packham have designed the collection with style and comfort in mind. The heels aren't too high—perfect for dancing all night—and include practical touches like embellished straps.
"There is a strong synergy between the L.K.Bennett woman and the Jenny Packham bride, so it seemed natural and very exciting for me to collaborate with their design team," Packham told People. "A project of passion, the combination of the Jenny Packham aesthetic with the renowned design heritage and quality of L.K.Bennett has resulted in a beautiful collection of shoes and bags of which I am very proud."
The collection features 16 styles of shoes and five clutch options, and is available globally, with prices ranging from approx. $345 to $877.
With two royal weddings around the corner, the timing of this collection drop couldn't be better.
