It’s difficult to ignore the beautiful yet undeniably stark landscapes in Spanish label Massimo Dutti’s SS19 campaign. Dry golden fields stretch out for miles providing a humbling backdrop to an elegant and minimalist collection, evoking feelings of both joy and melancholia in equal parts for the wonder and environmental heartache our earth has endured.
Nature in its entirety, with all its breathtaking beauty and unforgiving eventualities, is the primary source of inspiration behind this exquisite line of simple silhouettes and rich earthy tones. What’s more Massimo Dutti are championing an environmental consciousness throughout using raw materials that have been responsibly and ethically sourced, an effort that we are seeing more and more with brands in 2019.
Spearheaded by creative director Atelier Franck Durand, the collection entitled “By Numbers” is elevated through the lens of acclaimed photographer Lachlan Bailey and modelled by supermodel Rianne Van Rompaey in the brittle grasslands of Savanna.
Communicating deep respect for tradition, mother earth and a revolution of style, stylish sheer dresses sit alongside pretty cotton shorts in shades in earthy colour palettes while chic cropped trousers, and mahogany shorts provide the perfect anchors to effortless summertime dressing.
The Massimo Dutti spring/summer 2019 collection is available in stores across the Middle East.
