Queen Rania Is The Second Royal To Tap Into This Autumnal Trend
Meghan Markle just wore a similar outfit for a royal engagement
Queen Rania of Jordan is known for her ability to shake up her ensembles – just last week we saw the royal alter a Ralph & Russo runway dress to make the silhouette more conservative – and now, Her Majesty steps out in Jordan wearing a khaki coloured trench coat – but not styled as you’d expect.
In yet another classic and chic look, the mother-of-four chose a trench and and striped pants from gender-neutral brand Boyfriend, who she was also spotted wearing earlier this year.

Proving her keen eye for styling, the royal wore the trench wrapped up as a shirt, instead of a layered piece of outerwear to visit this year’s recipients of academic scholarships from Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans in Amman. She styled the rest of the look with Dior heels, Saint Laurent bag and her trusty Apple Watch.

A star investment piece for autumn/winter dressing, the humble trench was not only seen on the runways of Loewe, Tod’s and Burberry, it was also a trend tapped into by Meghan Markle, when she touched down in Sydney for her South Pacfic tour this month, and earlier this year when she attended attended UK team trials for the Invictus Games in Bath with the Duke of Sussex.
