The weather may be heating up in the Middle East, but springtime in Europe still beckons layers and leather aplenty. Our perennial S/S19 inspo? Queen Rania of Jordan, of course, who visited French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte at the Elysee Presidential Palace in Paris.

King Abdullah II and Queen Rania travelled from Assisi, central to France earlier that day, and as a nod to the European leg of her trip, BAZAAR Arabia’s March cover star chose a black leather shirt and pleated skirt from Italian fashion house Ermanno Scervino’s spring/summer 2019 collection.

She paired her look with a handbag from Louis Vuitton, black Prada pumps and a diamond ring from Ralph Masri's Modernist collection.

The four leaders were photographed on the steps of the palace before heading inside for their meeting, were talks of the situation in Syria were expected to take place.

The Jordanian royals travelled to Italy for the Lamp of Peace Award Ceremony, where King Abdullah was awarded for his efforts to promote human rights and peace in the Middle East. The mother-of-four shared a heart-warming post on her Instagram, honouring her husband’s achievements.

Queen Rania shared a full video of her husband’s acceptance speech on her Facebook page.
