This Model Just Wore A Dubai-Based Designer At The Miss Universe Pageant
Miss Canada wears a couture creation from Dubai-based designer Michael Cinco
One month after Polish/Canadian model Marta Magdalena Stepien closed the Michael Cinco show during a surprise visit at Arab Fashion Week, the beauty queen walks the Miss Universe stage wearing a custom couture creation from the Dubai-based fashion house.
The Michael Cinco number is a fully-crystallised, tight-fitting gown with thin straps and a plunging neckline. Stepien wore her hair in loose waves and opted for minimal jewellery, leaving the dress to do all the talking.
Fans have been speculating for weeks what the model’s finale dress would look like, after she visited the Michael Cinco atelier in d3. The duo teased looks on Instagram, prompting fans to tune in on 16 December to see the final look.
Whilst Stepien didn’t take home the crown, the win was still close to home for designer Michael Cinco as Miss Philippines, Catriona Gray, took home the title of Miss Universe 2018.
The creative director flew to Thailand for the occasion, before jetting off to the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore to showcase his holiday collection at the Private Centurion Gala.
