1. The glove shoe
The glove shoe presented in Céline's spring/summer 2015 collection was undoubtedly the accessory of the summer. Soon seen all over the front rows and sparking countless copies on the high street, it is probably the label's most recognisable shoe.
2. Joan Didion: The campaign star
Phoebe Philo made headlines by choosing none other than iconic American writer Joan Didion to be the star of Céline's spring/summer 2015 campaign. Philo broke the mould by making the 80-year-old its campaign star – and other luxury fashion brands soon followed suit in embracing mature women, including Saint Laurent with Joni Mitchell.
3. The slip dress
Sure, Céline was not solely responsible for the underwear-as-outerwear trend, but the brand's autumn/winter 2015 and spring/summer 2016 collections cemented the revival of the silky slip dress. The frock fast became a must-have that no one else saw coming.
4. Stan Smiths: The high-fashion trainer
What Phoebe Philo did for high-fashion trainers cannot be exaggerated – and that's just when we consider her personal style. The designer's penchant for wearing Adidas Stan Smiths (with her uniform of polo-necks and chinos) when she took her bow at the end of each show led to professional women everywhere embracing the trainer – and we're still very much feeling that impact today.
5. The pyjama shirt
Céline sent these silky, printed, pyjama-style shirts down the catwalk for spring/summer 2011. They were unquestionably a hit with the fashion crowd, but it wasn't until Kanye West wore one on stage at Coachella that it truly became iconic.
6. Geometric jewellery

7. The furry slider
Cast your mind back to 2014 when the era of the 'ugly shoe' commenced. Céline sent these fur-lined pool sliders – or 'furkenstocks' – down the catwalk to the dismay of many. Although they definitely divided opinion at the time, they proved a smash success among celebrities, street stylers and regular people alike – and we can still see their influence today, just think of Fenty's cult faux-fur sliders.
8. Dressy knitwear
During her time at Céline, Philo managed to put a very stylish spin on the jumper dress. From the striped frock worn by Sienna Miller to those slinky knitted dresses with exaggerated hems, the jumper dress made its journey from casual to glamorous.
9. The many 'It' bags
Just like she did when she headed up Chloé, Philo managed to elevate a number of Céline totes into 'It' bag territory. From the Trapeze and the Trio to the Luggage, the brand was able to compete with the likes of Louis Vuitton and Gucci in a way that the brand never could have before.
10. The wooden wedge
Almost every season at Céline, Philo has managed to create the shoe of the season (and, in turn, kickstart a footwear trend or two). This all really started with the wooden wedge that she sent down the catwalk with almost every look in her spring/summer 2010 collection.
