The Bazaar Arabia Team’s Favourite A/W25 Trends

We’ve seen the runways, decoded the shownotes, and read between the hemlines of A/W25 – here’s what Bazaar Arabia’s fashion team can’t stop thinking (and dreaming) about

The Trend: Zebra

Stripe a Pose

Zebra print steps up as the season’s luxe neutral – a runway-ready stripe in graphic monochrome. While leopard’s our comfort zone, this combination is the original barcode-like fashion statement; the bolder, It-print of 2025. From slashed tailoring and swishy gowns to animal-instinct accessories and scene-stealing separates, designers are leaning into its visual tension – clean yet chaotic, familiar yet futuristic, and in a season craving contrast and clarity, it brings a fresh energy that’s ready to run.

The Trend: Silicone

Clearly, a Statement

Reimagined PVC, latex and silicone-coated fabrics have shed their utilitarian roots and emerged in high-gloss glory. Once confined to raincoats and novelty wear, these slick, tactile textures are one of the clearest trends across the board. Seen in sharply cut overcoats, daring trenches, and bold, see-through accessories, there’s nowhere to hide beneath this glossy armour, and that’s precisely the point. In a season where confidence is key, transparency isn’t just a fabric choice – it’s fashion’s boldest power move.

The Trend: Belts

Waisted Potential

After seasons of oversized silhouettes, the waist emerges from hiding as fashion’s favourite focal point – think structure and drama that highlight the body’s centre stage. Belts have been pushed to the fore, well beyond their usual supporting role, emerging as sculptural cinchers, stacked-buckle armour, and artfully slouched drop-waists that demand a second glance. Once an afterthought, the waist now anchors with sharp, deliberate intent. No longer just a dividing line, but a conversation starter – and yes, we’re open to below-the-belt comments, too.

The Trend: Equestrian

Mane Attraction

Equestrian codes are firmly back in the saddle – this time, with a high-fashion gait. From saddle-stitched leathers and horsebit hardware to polished riding boots and tactile, brushed-wool textures, designers are galloping into autumn with a reined-in, runway-ready take on stable classics. Breeches get a sharply tailored upgrade, while blanket checks and glossy bridle trims off er subtle nods without slipping into rural costume. Less countryside cliché, more thoroughbred. Horseplay? Hardly. This is high-gloss horsepower at full speed.

The Trend: Pearls

Pearl Pressure

Opulent orbs have ditched their prim persona – now flaunting rebellious, baroque forms that punctuate everything from shoe heels and clutch clasps to oversized necklaces that double as cross-body bags. And while these glossy accents have definitely been reimagined, particularly over at Chanel, don’t overlook an in-house treasure trove: your grandmother’s closet. Chances are, hidden among her jewels are some precious pearls with sentimental stories that add yet more lustre to your look.

The Trend: Status Dressing

Chaotic Luxury

Steeped in lavish rebellion, dress like it’s your final fitting – and you’re making it count. Some say it wrecks the classist status quo: chaotic layers, clashing prints, heirlooms slung over hoodies, pearls paired with punk, gowns laced with grit. Mismatched, defiant, and fiercely personal, this is fashion driven by feelings, not rules. These looks are certainly not made to play it safe –they’re made to leave a mark. So whether you’re storming the front row or stepping into the unknown, one thing’s for certain: you’re going out-out in style.

The Trend: Shapes

Larger Than Life

Whether through off-kilter asymmetry, hyperbolic volume, or a wink of irreverent humour, this season saw wardrobe basics pushed to their limits. Extreme takes were everywhere – supersized, sculptural, and playfully absurd. Shirting came ballooned, trousers flared like sails, and silhouettes toyed with proportion in all the right (and wrong) ways. What was once the domain of couture or a red-carpet spectacle is now edging into real-world wearability – albeit with a theatrical twist and a healthy sense of irony. Even the smallest details – a surrealist heel, an exaggerated bow – carried the same maximalist energy. Even if you’re not quite ready for the full-volume fantasy, let an attention-grabbing accessory do all the talking.

The Trend: Fur

Fur Enough

After a teaser of fuzzy textures shown in the spring, fur staged a full-throttle return this fall – spilling from sumptuous collars, theatrically cascading over shoulders, and trimmed with unapologetic, yeti-chic abandon. It was less about practical subtlety and all about spectacle; the tale of the hare and tortoise inspired Simone Rocha, a standout. Whether dubbed primal glamour or a plush power play, one thing’s clear: fashion has taken a softer stance and not just across expected outwear but also when it comes to bags, shoes and bralettes. From catwalk drama to curbside cool, faux fur’s lavish resurgence marks a new wave of cozy rebellion – proof that comfort can, in fact, be a total show-off.

The Trend: Layering

Bundle Sale

It isn’t just about what you wear – it’s about how much you dare to wear. We saw designers dial up the drama and pile it on, proving that more is, in fact, more. Looks were built piece by piece – coats on coats, duvet-level scarves, and shirts stacked under tailoring with the precision of a runway-ready game of fashion Jenga. The result? A new-school maximalism: curated chaos, styled excess, and layers with intent. Forget minimal – this is luxury worn in volume and styled in full detail.

The Trend: Lime

In the Lime Light

Winter’s hues are having a citrus-charged wake-up call. Lime green stormed the runways with a high-voltage freshness that zapped through the usual moody monochromes and shadowy neutrals. Zesty, zany, and impossible to ignore, lime proved it’s no longer just a summer fling – it’s a year-round scene-stealer. When paired with autumn’s signature textures, furs, and luxe layers, it offers a rebellious squeeze of sunshine in the depths of winter.

The Trend: Suits

Outsmarted

Slink into sleek lines with after-dark dressing that guarantees all eyes on you. Tailored tuxedo toppers, slinky satin slips, and swagger-laced suiting take dapper dressing public. It’s precise, provocative, and steeped in old-school polish: louche silhouettes, high-shine finishes, and masculine codes recut with feminine intent. From boardroom to bar and everywhere in between, this is power dressing at its sharpest – designed to dominate and own the night with quiet confidence.

The Trend: Colour

Clash Course

Colour theory just got a high-fashion remix – and it makes no sense. Logic? Th at’s so last season. Designers across A/W25 embraced joyful dissonance, pairing hues that traditionally clash but now captivate. Think tomato red with lilac, chartreuse with cobalt – combinations that bring depth, tension, and visual intrigue in one effortless hit. It’s instinct over rules, disruption over harmony. So forget the wheel, break the spectrum, and lean into the unexpected: this season, the best-dressed are clashing with purpose.
