How The White Lotus Became The Most Stylish Show on TV

As the hit HBO series returns for its third season, fashion and lifestyle brands are tapping into its cult resort chic aesthetic

The White Lotus has returned to screens for its third season – the hit HBO TV series set on the scenic island of Koh Samui that has garnered a cult following fort its resort-chic aesthetic (along with many accolades) but as it delivers another season, the show is cementing its status as a sartorial influencer.

The White Lotus has set standard for aspirational holiday wardrobes — but make it ultra-luxe, especially in season 3. Expect to spy an effortless mix of brands like The Row, Loro Piana and Brunello Cucinelli, known for their sumptuous investment pieces, flowing ensembles by Jacquemus and Max&Mara that exude resort elegance paired with statement accessories — Loewe sunglasses, Hermès silk scarves and Bottega Veneta It bags.

“Working on The White Lotus 3 was an extraordinary experience; we conjure bottomless suitcases for our guests with multiple bags and endless shoe options. We have our season staples like Bottega and Vuitton, Lunaflo London, JW Anderson and Valentino, and for season 3 we welcome new friends like amazing jewellery by David Webb, Delvaux, Swaine and Jim Thompson,” says Alex Bovaird, costume designer of The White Lotus.

The cast kicked off the season’s sartorial step up during the press tour – Blackpink’s LISA-who marks her small screen debut this season-embraced resort vibes in spades. At the Los Angeles premiere, she wore a custom Miss Sohee Couture gown inspired by lotus flowers, with intricate embellishments in shades of white and yellow. LISA elevated the look with a lotus flower designed by Thai jewellery brand, SARRAN, and for the after party she switched into a monochrome dress.

At the Bangkok premiere, Lisa chose a custom Louis Vuitton silk dress designed to mimic the delicate petals of a lotus, followed by a vibrant yellow silk dress by Mesh Museum. The dress was adorned in intricate beadwork and a brass garland of 2,000 jasmine flowers, representing Thai beauty and tradition.
