Meet Vivienne: The Story Behind Louis Vuitton’s Iconic Mascot

The jet-setting figurine keeps us enthralled with her adventures at Atlantis The Royal

Louis Vuitton lovers may be familiar with Vivienne Doudou. As the Maison’s emblematic mascot, Vivienne was introduced in 2017, and has since featured as a key figure in the brand’s global presence and collections.

Most recently, Vivienne made an appearance in Dubai for Atlantis The Royal’s one year anniversary celebration, but she’s also been imagined in Paris, New York, Tokyo and Seoul – as part of LV’s annual Holiday Collection – and has taken the form of jewellery, leather goods and a luxurious soft toy.

Now an integral part of the Louis Vuitton family, Vivienne reveals a whimsical, more playful side to the French fashion house, while her intriguing adventures keep us smitten and captivated.

Below, Bazaar Arabia shares everything we know about Vivienne Doudou.

Who is Louis Vuitton’s Vivienne Mascot?

Originally conceived as a decorative object, Vivienne made her world debut in 2017. The collectable figurine adapts to every situation and desire, embodying liveliness, fun, and a unique zest for life. Her charming personality it recognised world wide, while her vast range of adaptations maintain the iconic Louis Vuitton quality and craftsmanship.

Where Has Vivienne Been?

Vivienne has a busy schedule. When she’s not flying across the globe to attend LV parties and launches, she’s floating in an LV monogram hot air balloon, or riding waves as a surfer in LV’s artisanal Vivienne Traveller’s Collection. She may even appear as a panda or a samurai in the form of a miniature pendant or bejewelled brooch, or perhaps she’s cycling in Paris passed the Place Vendôme on the front of your festive Louis Vuitton purse.

In 2018, she inspired the brand’s Mens Pre-Fall 2018 Collection, while in 2020 she entered the world of jewellery. A collection of Vivienne necklaces in coloured jewels and precious metals elevated her preciousness to glistening new heights.

Vivienne’s Luxury Vacation In Dubai

Last week, Vivienne attended the exclusive one-year anniversary party of Atlantis The Royal. At 3 metres tall, the larger-than-life Vivienne statues were specifically crafted in Dubai using a combination of traditional craftsmanship techniques.

The playful characters depict Vivienne experiencing the resort on the ultimate vacation. From elegant and cosmopolitan Jetsetter Vivienne, who is never without her Pharrell Williams X Louis Vuitton sunglasses, to the relaxed Sailor Vivienne who is just floating by in the resort’s state-of-the-art facilities, guest were invited to join Vivienne on her adventures. Each Vivienne featured an immersive AR experience, bridging the gap between fantasy and reality.
