This year, the manufacture’s novelties reflect an ongoing commitment to craftsmanship and innovation. They also showcase how traditional skills can coexist with evolving technologies, allowing familiar complications to take on renewed relevance for today’s audience.
The limited-edition 150 Heritage pocket watch, for instance, exemplifies this approach. Driven by the ultra-complicated Calibre 1150, its Universal Calendar draws on centuries of astronomical observation while highlighting rare métiers d’art.
Elsewhere, the Neo Frame Jumping Hour offers a more architectural interpretation of Audmar Piguet’s past. Referencing its early jumping hour wristwatches from the 1920s and inspired by Art Deco aesthetics, the design pairs a pink gold and black sapphire case with modern horological savoir-faire.
Besides the release of new watches, technical evolution also plays a central role. Calibre 7139 introduces an openworked selfwinding perpetual calendar, appearing in two 41 mm models — a two-toned Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet and a Royal Oak combining titanium with Bulk Metallic Glass. Additionally, the iconic Royal Oak Chronograph 38 mm receives the latest Calibre 6401, improving reliability and visual refinement. Its updated sapphire caseback reveals the intricate finishing, offering a closer view of the mechanical precision within.
