Bayou, Jad Hobeika, Thalia El Ansari and Myriem Boukadida star in Bulgari’s new B.zero1 campaign
The Italian fine jeweller has partnered with a crop of creative pioneers to celebrate the spirit of innovation
Bulgari’s B.zero1 collection is iconic in every sense of the word. Instantly recognised around the world, its spiralling silhouette, graphic branding and gleaming curves are universally admired and unmistakeably Bulgari.
First launched by the Roman maison in 1999 to celebrate the turn of the millennium, the collection’s design codes exude contemporary classicism. Its signature cylindrical silhouette was inspired by the contours of the Colosseum, an architectural masterpiece that mirrors the brand’s avant-garde artisanry.
This season, Bulgari Studio, the maison’s creative partnership platform, has collaborated with a team of young visionaries to conceive a B.zero1 campaign that embodies four key pillars: innovation, individuality, revolution and effortless luxury.
The new campaign stars Bayou, the Egyptian R&B vocalist who has evolved the identity of Middle Eastern music by reimagining his genre, alongside Thalia El Ansari, a rising Jordanian star celebrated for her portrayal of the character ‘Shams’ in season two of AlRawabi School for Girls. El Ansari’s meteoric ascent required the same qualities necessary to craft an iconic jewel – talent, resilience, and an unwavering quest for perfection.
Bayou and El Ansari are joined by Jad Hobeika, who joined his family’s fashion house in 2019 and is now co-creative director. Crafting couture collections worn by Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga, Hobeika’s entrepreneurship has steered the business towards an even brighter future. Tunisian model Myriem Boukadida completes this talented team. Since being discovered at just 15 years old, Boukadida has pushed for better representation of Arab models, deftly personifying the B.zero1 collection’s boundless and bold spirit.
