Chanel has unveiled its latest fine jewellery line that sees the emblem of the camellia flower reimagined in a series of diamond jewels mounted in either yellow or white gold.

Mademoiselle Chanel famously favoured the camellia flower for its purity and lack of scent, which meant it never interfered with her signature No.5 perfume. She adopted the white bloom as her personal symbol and frequently wore it like a jewel in standout contrast against her black sweaters and dresses.

A regular appearance in the Maison’s fashion and accessories lines since the 1920s, the motif is now the focus of the Bouton de Camélia jewels.

Bazaar’s favourites include the Impression Camélia cuff, a flexible bracelet spun in yellow gold featuring the iconic flowers and the matching layered Impression necklace, as well as the white gold Camélia précieux ring with a pear-cut diamond and blooming diamond petals.
