Chaumet Presents L’Épi De Blé Collection Exclusively To The Dubai Mall
The jewellery line is limited to 40 pieces and has been reserved for only a handful of the French Maison’s international boutiques
Inspired by the classical wheat motif, Chaumet’s new L’Épi De Blé collection is based on this ancient symbol of fertility and abundance. Comprising a ring, bangle, brooch and earrings, the jewels are available in just 24 boutiques around the world, including The Dubai Mall.

Each jewel is made of brushed yellow gold to realistically portray a textured wheat sheaf, complete with small diamond-set grains for an additional layer of detail. As each piece is handcrafted, they also vary slightly from one another in a nod to nature’s own lack of regularity.
Chaumet is renowned for their realistic use of naturalistic themes in their jewellery, with motifs including leaves, flowers and butterflies in a variety of graceful creations. The Maison has long used the symbol of wheat in their jewels, inspired by Ceres, the ancient Roman goddess of agriculture and grain.
The “ear of wheat” diamond tiara created for the Empress Marie-Louise by Chaumet in 1811
In 1811 Napoleon’s second wife, Empress Marie-Louise, commissioned Chaumet to create a diamond “ear of wheat” tiara in Paris. Composed of nine swaying stalks of wheat, the Empress successfully revived the fashion for tiaras and the use of this neo-classical design motif.
Since then the Maison has continued reinterpreting the theme for its contemporary jewels, with the latest L’Épi De Blé collection another elegant example of this naturalistic craftsmanship.
