David Morris Introduces Its Frozen Kiss Collection

Inspired by one of the art world’s greatest triumphs, the latest collection crafted by British jewellery maison David Morris is an ode to everlasting love stories

There are certain sculptures that transcend time, holding the eternal pulse of human emotion within their cool, marble contours. Rodin’s The Kiss—an ode to love and longing—stands among them. Crafted in 1882, its smooth white surface captures a moment of unguarded intimacy, but it was originally created as part of the artist’s darkly dramatic Gates of Hell bronze sculpture, but the lovers’ embrace was so tender, so quietly evocative, that Rodin reimagined them in their own right—giving birth to a now-iconic masterpiece.

It’s this same magnetism—the exquisite stillness of a love held close—that breathes through Frozen Kiss, a new fine jewellery collection by British jewellery-making maison David Morris. Renowned as ‘The London Jeweller’, the house has long stood for rarefied stones and sublime craftsmanship. Now, in this capsule collection of six pieces, David Morris captures the very essence of modern romance.

From its London atelier, where unbridled imagination meets technical mastery, the house’s artisans have transformed its classic language of diamond jewellery into a contemporary poem. Central to Frozen Kiss is a signature swirl—rows of micro-set pavé diamonds that spiral around brilliant-cut one-carat stones, echoing the gravitational pull between two lovers. Whether adorning a ring, pendant, earrings, or the double bangle, the motif radiates a subtle dynamism.

“The Frozen Kiss collection captures those moments when you’re completely overcome by emotion—you want to hold on to it, to freeze it in time,” explains Jeremy Morris, CEO and creative director of the house. “Each jewel is a gesture—of love, of appreciation, of respect. They’re crafted for the modern romantic.”

Particularly elegant is the collection’s torque necklace—where two diamond ‘kisses’ meet at the collarbone; the anatomical heartline. The double bangle mirrors this with a toi-et-moi silhouette—two stones drawn to each other in perfect symmetry, poised forever in a breathless moment without meeting.

Rodin’s marble lovers now reside at the Musée Rodin in Paris—a permanent fixture in the canon of great romantic works. And much like The Kiss, the Frozen Kiss collection is a love story cast in stone—jewels created not just for this generation, but as heirlooms of tomorrow intended to be passed down, cherished, and worn in honour of the loves that define us, across time and memory.
