2017's Baselworld watches and jewellery show saw Dior debuting its latest watches alongside replicas of their most iconic haute couture creations. Showcased amongst a host of miniature gowns designed by the company throughout the 20th century, each timepiece boasts distinctive elements of Dior’s brand.
The New Dior VIII Montaigne 2017 Spring-Summer Edition
The new Dior VIII Montaigne 2017 Spring-Summer edition celebrates the first ready-to-wear show under the helm of Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior's recently appointed Artistic Director. The wide silvery-white opaline dial is hemmed with diamonds, complete with a perforated white calfskin strap – a sophisticated take on wearable elegance for today’s busy woman.
The Dior Grande Bal Pièce Unique Galaxie
Under the masterful eye of Victoire de Castallane, Creative Director of Dior’s fine jewellery division, other designs bring a distinct theme to the timepiece portfolio. The Dior Grand Bal harks back to Monsieur Dior’s personal superstition – the “lucky star” that would define his destiny. His fascination with stars and constellations is portrayed as an entire galaxy in the watch’s dial, complete with a shimmering opal sky and a golden pleated drape.
One of only eight models from Dior's Grand Soir Collection
Continuing with this theme of Monsieur Dior’s own passions, the Dior Grand Soir collection unveils only eight one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by a fairy-tale garden. The flowers are displayed through the use of precious gems, mother-of-pearl, opal and a shimmering diamond surround, complete with a midnight blue fabric strap.
Dior's La Mini D Dior Wraparound Watch
The playful look of La Mini D Dior Wraparound is invoked by the brightly coloured straps that loop around the wearer’s wrist. Available in two new versions, the patent leather is complemented by a lacquered dial of the same colour, with a diamond-set crown, bezel and buckle.
With a range of statement, whimsical and fun choices available, Dior watches are a must-have for any fashion fan.
