Taylor Swift is currently dominating headlines thanks to her sixth ongoing concert tour, The Eras Tour, which recently became the highest-grossing tour in history, surpassing $1 billion in revenue. The singer has also sparked several jewellery news stories in recent months, notably when she was spotted wearing a matching tennis bracelet with her boyfriend, NFL superstar Travis Kelce. Since The Eras Tour started, the Swifties friendship bracelet swapping phenomenon has also made headlines, with thousands of fans making colourful bead bracelets to swap before each show, reportedly causing bead shortages in local craft stores. Today, however, Taylor’s jewellery collection caught our attention once more, with the reveal of the singer’s new pinky ring.
Fine jewellery designer Cece Fein-Hughes, founder of British jewellery brand Cece Jewellery, posted a photo on Instagram last night of a pinky ring that she recently crafted for the singer, commissioned by one of Taylor’s closest friends, model Gigi Hadid. Posted with a caption that begins, “What an absolute honour it was to create something special for Taylor Swift,” the London-based designer revealed that the ring was a custom-made commission depicting one of Taylor’s cats – Benjamin Button – flanked by flaming hearts featuring Taylor’s favourite number, 13, and her boyfriend’s jersey number, 87.
Specialising in 18-karat gold enamelled pendants and pinky rings, Cece jewellery has developed a cult following since the brand was founded in 2019, with clients commissioning one-of-a-kind treasures featuring portraits of pets, favourite flowers, and zodiac signs, among many more eclectic and eccentric motifs. Cece’s aesthetic blends fairytale-like illustrations with folklore motifs and tattoo-esque detailing, delicately adorned with miniature pearls and diamonds. In her Instagram post, Cece said that the ring was designed to keep Taylor’s “favourite things close,” and she looks forward to seeing the star wearing the ring soon.
