Julia Roberts Celebrates The Art Of Cinema with Chopard

Light’s camera, action! The luxury Swiss brand taps into old Hollywood glamour for its latest jewellery collections…

Known for her megawatt smile, Julia Roberts stuns in Chopard’s most recent jewellery collections inspired by her love for cinema.

Having made its premiere on International Day of Happiness back in March, the twelve episodes of the series, directed by James Gray, are being unveiled throughout the course of the year.

On working with Julia, the director shared what it was like filming “a genuine movie star.” The two have a real friendship which blossomed from working with one another over the years.

“I always jump at any chance I might get to work with her,” James said. “We are pals, with a real respect and affection for each other. I always consider my day made if I’ve made her smile. And the work is always a pleasure, if for no other reason than the fact that the camera is as big a fan of Julia’s as I am! Both Julia and Chopard embody a true sense of happiness, so it was a wonderful opportunity to work with them on this campaign.”

Meant to spark joy in all shapes and forms, the campaign also features visuals by photographer Alasdair McLellan and perfectly exemplifies the joie de vivre of Chopard. Backstage sits centre stage as we’re given a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes.

We see Julia in action, slipping into trainers while wearing couture and cuddling with her dog Myrtle in between script rehearsals. Happiness exudes from all corners of the screen, adding to the handcrafted Chopard jewels and watches which seem to take up a brightness all on their own.

For Julia, the cheery chemistry on film is beautifully accessorized by Chopard. When asked what makes her happy, she’s quick to respond. “My family. My friends. My health.”
