The high jewellers Mouawad have been designing spectacular jewels for over a century and their latest creations do not disappoint. Continuing with the luxury brand’s focus on using the most beautiful gems from around the world, the recently launched “Rare Jewels” collections feature remarkable handpicked Colombian emeralds and fancy coloured yellow diamonds.
The Divine Muzo Pears necklace, earring, bracelet and ring suite by Mouawad with emeralds and diamonds
The Divine Muzo Pears suite is named after the legendary Colombian mine that has produced some of the world’s finest emeralds. Mouawad's diamond suite comprises a necklace, pair of earrings, bracelet and ring that are set with five of these gems. The largest is suspended from the diamond necklace, a pear-shaped emerald weighing 72.40 carats, followed by 54.38 and 53.11-carat gems in the bracelet and ring respectively. To cap the collection off, the earrings are also set with emeralds weighing either 41.12 or 39.20 carats.
If yellow is the preferred colour of choice, then the jeweller’s Le Soleil collection offers another full suite set with five significant Fancy Intense Yellow diamonds. Ranging from 20.10 to 62.34 carats, the yellow diamonds of Le Soleil are combined with white diamonds weighing 211.03 carats in total, making this one of Mouawad’s most valuable creations to date. “Intense” yellows are amongst the rarest of fancy coloured diamonds, with only a “Vivid” colour grading above this.
