Rihanna Is Collaborating With Chopard

There’s no secret that Rihanna knows a thing or two about the world of fashion. Following on from her Fenty X Puma show at Paris Fashion Week, which blew the crowds of stylish revellers away to her shoe collection with Manolo Blahnik and sunglasses range with Dior, it comes as no surprise that the singer is turning her sights to haute jewellery designer as well. Teaming up with Swiss watch and jewellery brand Chopard, the limited edition collection featuring 2,000 pieces of each of the nine designs is titled Rihanna Loves Chopard.

The collection which is currently available for pre-order online and will arrive at Chopard boutiques across the globe in June is set to have its formal reveal at the Cannes Film Festival in May where Rihanna will be attending following her role in Luc Besson’s Valerian the City of a Thousand Planets. "I have always been in love with Chopard’s exquisite jewellery, so to actually design collections with them is something I still can't believe. It was a really incredible process and I learned so much! I can't wait for everyone to see it” explained Rihanna in a release from the brand.

Inspired by her home of Barbados from the gardens to the carnival, the Humanitarian of the Year has already showcased some of the stunning pieces at the Grammy Awards this year. From a pair of multi-coloured chandelier earrings featuring flowers and butterfly’s to a jaw-dropping marquise-cut diamond solitaire ring, these pieces will clearly be at the upper end of the collection which starts at just over Dhs5,300 ($1,460). Featuring some minimal, geometric designs as well Co-President and Artistic Director Caroline Scheufele, who designed the collection alongside Rihanna described just how involved the singer was, “Rihanna and I collaborated closely on the collections, so you can feel her unstoppable energy, strong creativity, and inherent sense of design in every piece. With her unique style, she redefines the way people see and wear jewellery.” Here’s to some serious dazzling diamonds gracing Rihanna come May.
