Vacheron Constantin Unveils Three New Models at Watches & Wonders
The Swiss watchmaker’s latest releases combine heritage, style and luxury
Luxury Swiss watchmaker Vacheron Constantin will fete the physical return of Watches & Wonders with new marvels of haute horlogerie.
At the seven-day international watch and jewellery trade show that opens Wednesday at the Palexpo venue, three models that embody the brand’s historic watchmaking roots, innovative architectural precision and artisanal flair, will be unveiled on the shores of Switzerland’s Lake Geneva.
Propelling its expertise in mechanical watchmaking well into the 21st century, Vacheron Constantin’s latest Overseas Tourbillon Skeleton Manufacture Calibre 2160 is a testament to its prowess in the arena of Haute Horlogerie complications.
Re-envisaged in a contemporary, entirely openworked spirit the first Vacheron Constantin model made with Grade 5 titanium (also available in 18K 5N pink gold) is recognizable for its thinness, as the weight of the self-winding Calibre 2160’s movement has been reduced by 20 percent. With its slender curvature, 5.65 mm thick, this latest design is considered a triumph in the world of technical watchmaking.

The watchmaker’s Traditionnelle perpetual calendar chronograph comes to fruition in a platinum case with a salmon-coloured dial. Available in limited annual production exclusively sold in Vacheron Constantin boutiques, this chronograph is powered by in-house Calibre 1142 QP and will be presented as one of the most prestigious chronograph movements enhanced by the perpetual calendar complication.
Though it was founded in 1755, Vacheron Constantin’s first wristwatch collection came to the fore in 1889.
Its latest, the Traditionnelle perpetual calendar ultra-thin responds to the growing desire for women’s mechanical complication timepieces, blending streamlined technical details with feminine spirit. Equipped with in-house Calibre 1120 QP it incorporates distinctive aspects of the Gregorian calendar and is inspired by the label’s 1950s designs.

Enhanced with luxe elements like a mother of pearl dial, celestial accents, each piece is secured by a white or pink gold pin buckle set with 17 round-cut diamonds.
The second women’s model embraces 1950s style with a classic round, ultra-thin style and timeless elegance. The Patrimony self-winding watch is distinguished by its minimalist silhouette. The proportions of the Patrimony collection first launched in 2004, this time have been revisited, with the curve of the 36.5 mm-diameter case available in 18K white gold or 18K 5N pink gold.

Back in a phygital format, Watches & Wonders 2022 will host the latest from a roster of top brands like Cartier, Chanel, Chopard, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Montblanc, Patek Philippe, Rolex and much more.
