Van Cleef & Arpels Reveals 50th Anniversary Alhambra Jewels
Originally launched in 1968, the French Maison is celebrating with new Alhambra jewels 50 years after the collection’s first long gold necklace was created
With its signature four leaf clover motif, the Alhambra collection from Van Cleef & Arpels has long been a classic token of luck. Since its creation in the revolutionary decade of the 1960s it has become an emblematic design from the jewellery Maison and has been worn, wrapped, and stacked by some of the most famous style icons.
For its 50th anniversary Van Cleef & Arpels is adding new styles to both the permanent collection and as limited edition pieces. First up is a Vintage Alhambra necklace and bracelet with a matching pair of Magic Alhambra earrings, created in alternating grey mother-of-pearl and diamond motifs and adorned with beaded pink gold.

Also joining the permanent collection are a Vintage Alhambra long necklace and bracelet with starkly contrasting onyx and diamond motifs mounted in white gold.

The Alhambra collection has long blended a rich palette of hard stones, precious gems and organic materials in the jewels over the years, and the Maison pays homage to these by also unveiling four new models only available in small quantities.
These two sets are each made up of a Vintage Alhambra long necklace and bracelet, with one featuring deep blue lapis lazuli contrasted with diamonds, and the other set with a series of translucent rock crystal motifs, mounted in yellow gold.
