Van Cleef & Arpels To Make Its Dubai Watch Week Debut
The legendary French jewellery house prepares to unveil some of its most breath-taking timepieces at the 6th edition of the exhibition
Dubai Watch Week makes its return today for its sixth edition. Taking place at The Gate Dubai International Financial Centre, the highly anticipated five-day event transcends the world of watchmaking, celebrating the best in design, art and craftsmanship.

Van Cleef & Arpels To Make Its Debut at Dubai Watch Week
Storied French jewellery house Van Cleef & Arpels prepares to make its Dubai Watch Week debut, bringing the true essence of Paris to town with an immersive exhibition, The Poetry of Time. Visitors will be transported into a world where the magic of the house’s poetic, patrimonial collections come to life.

Open to the public, horology enthusiasts can visit the exhibition throughout the duration of Dubai Watch Week – held between November 16–20 – to take a closer look at timepieces inspired by Couture, Love Stories, Fairies and Ballerinas, Nature and Astronomy. Each of Van Cleef & Arpels’ autobiographical collections embodies the creative confluence which underlies Dubai Watch Week.

Couture as The Muse
The French jewellery house pays homage to the the incomparable elegance of the City of Lights in its brand new couture-inspired collection Ludo Secret, named after one of the Maison’s founders, Louis Arpels.

Love Stories
The Pont des Amoureux collection is a love letter to the renowned Love Lock bridge in Paris, formally known as the Pont des Arts, which links the Louvre Museum to the Institut de France over the Seine. It comes as no surprise that love is one of the main founding themes of the brand’s watchmaking and high jewellery creation process; Alfred Van Cleef and Estelle Arpels’ loving marriage is what birthed the iconic French luxury brand in the first place.

Feminine Figures
This imaginative theme features three collections titled Lady Féerie, Lady Arpels Ballerine Enchantée, and Lady Arpels Ballerines Musicales. Dating back to 1940, the autobiographical collections are inspired by Louis Arpels’ affinity for the whimsical universe of ballet. Telling time in a multisensory way, each watch features a distinct precious stone and plays the classical compositions of world-renowned composers: Gabriel Fauré for Emeralds, Igor Stravinsky for Rubies and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky for Diamonds.

Enchanting Nature
Mechanically and artistically mimicking blossoming flowers and fluttering butterfly wings, the “Floraison du Nénuphar automaton” and “Lady Arpels Heures Florales” collections symbolise the nature of time.

Poetic Astronomy
A love letter to the cosmos, this collection combines otherworldly beauty with the art of measuring time.

Jewels That Tell Time
The charming Perlée and Alhambra collections draw inspiration from jewellery savoir-faire, crafting some of the most sophisticated and elegant watches in the industry.

“Van Cleef & Arpels, Precious Jewels Telling Time”
Located at Van Cleef & Arpels’ Salons Dubai Opera boutique, Dubai Watch Week guests can make their way over to the “Van Cleef & Arpels, Precious Jewels Telling Time” exhibition to further admire the patrimonial exhibition, which includes archival documents, 29 historical timepieces; table clocks and other precious objects spanning from Art Deco period to the 1970s.
