We’re In Love With Van Cleef & Arpels’ Beautiful New Alhambra Jewels And You Will Be Too
Each piece reflects the Maison’s timeless beauty and impeccable craftsmanship
In 1968, Van Cleef & Arpels established the signature Alhambra motif, a steadfast emblem of the Maison symbolising harmony and luck. The very first jewel to incorporate the symbol was the Alhambra long necklace, mirroring the shape of a four-leaf clover.
In 2018, the Maison incorporated the guilloché technique within the collection, an intricate ornamentation comprising repetitive detailed patterns engraved onto the jewellery pieces.

Marrying the iconic motif with the engraving technique, the jewellery house has just launched an original Vintage Alhambra pendant, 5-motif bracelet, 20-motif long necklace and two elegant timepieces, a loving nod to the traditional aesthetic.
Inspired by the sleek lines produced by the guilloché technique, the ethereal new pieces feature gleaming diamond-paved motifs that are adorned with a beautiful rounded beaded contour and etched into yellow gold.

Entitled Sweet Alhambra Watch, two new timepieces also grace the collection, recalling dials from the year 1910. The first features an interchangeable alligator-skin bracelet for a strap, while the second features alternating motifs and is designed with gold, diamonds and gold mother-of-pearl – an organic material famed for its warm tones, produced inside Australian seashells.
The timeless new pieces have intertwined femininity and elegance with a traditional aesthetic to serve as tokens of luck, tracing the Maison’s footsteps all the way back to when it all started.
