Esquire Launches In Saudi Arabia
Saudi singer Hamza Hawsawi makes history as the first cover star of the international men’s magazine to be published within the Kingdom
Esquire Saudi just made history by becoming the first international men’s magazine to be published in the Kingdom.
To commemorate this occasion, the cover features the trailblazing musician Hamza Hawsawi, shot against the stunning background of NEOM. He stands at the forefront of a new dawn for creatives within the country, he joins hands with Esquire Saudi to explore the untouched yet ethereal surrounds of the soon-to-be-built city-state – his country’s most dynamic vision of the future.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announcement of Vision 2030 back in the year 2016 paved way to this remarkable moment that celebrates the talent, heritage and culture of the Kingdom.

“With a new edition dedicated to the Kingdom we are humbled and honoured to be able to help tell its stories and champion its people. It is an honour to be able to play a part in such a historic moment— not just for Esquire, but for culture in Saudi and beyond. With your help, we promise to tell the stories from the inside out; to raise voices that need to be heard; to celebrate talent that needs to be seen; and to support changes that need to occur,” writes Editor in Chief of Esquire Saudi, Matthew Baxter-Priest.

He adds, “At Esquire we speak to those who are accomplished, but remain ambitious; for those who want their content to be sharp, witty, intelligent and relevant; and for those who want to work together to make sense of this new world and change it for the better. Because right now the future is all of ours, and together we can reach some pretty remarkable milestones.”
