Even as the most introverted of individuals go stir crazy during this time of self-isolation, we all are searching for activities to keep us entertained or even to take our mind off of COVID-19 induced anxieties.
If you fancy playing foosball in style, Louis Vuitton has now taken a step into the world of football and introduces its first 'Babyfoot' (French for table football or foosball) table, retracing its history from 1986.
This elegant soccer table is an iconic collectable inspired from Gaston-Louis Vuitton’s love of sports and games. Tracing back to more than 150 years, the luxury French fashion house has accompanied travellers by designing monogram trunks to carry their games. Croquet trunks were initially designed to occupy travel games such as chess and backgammon which have now expanded and evolved over the years.
The luxe Monogram canvas also available in a darker Monogram Eclipse and Damier Graphite, comes in a rainbow of vibrant Epi leathers such as cyan, pistachio and fuchsia as well as a bi-coloured caramel and white variation in smooth leather.
As a true testament to the Louis Vuitton trunk the undulated epi leather texture adds a unique feel to the outside of the table and the leathers sheath the Babyfoot’s wooden body, with numerous layers of hand-applied edge-dying across each corner.
Each 'player' on the table is meticulously hand-painted by expert artisans in team colours to compliment the leather along with naturally contrasted tanned cowhide leather handles, hand-stitched with the signature yellow thread.
Vivid details such as jewel-like counting coins boast a striking hand-painted Monogram flower making tallying record wins even more satisfying!
