Nia Amroun Shares Her Entire Beauty Routine With Bazaar

The former Londoner shares some of her favourite beauty tips, tricks and products with Bazaar’s Beauty Diaries.

Favourite make-up brand: “NARS, because they always get it right with their skin products, cater to every skin tone and have consistent quality. I’ve been using their products since I started wearing make-up!”

Foundation: “NARS Radiant Long Wear Foundation (Dhs180) is my ride-or-die. It gives a beautiful glow and allows my natural freckles to shine through. I call it, ‘my skin, but better.’ My 5 concealer is Studio Skin Flawless (Dhs132); it’s the perfect match for my skin.”

Go-to lip colour: “I use a combo of The Body Shop Lip Tint in Hibiscus (Dhs80) and Nyx Butter Gloss in Ginger Snap (Dhs19). It makes my lips lush.”

Mascara: “Fenty Full Frontal Volume Lift & Curl (Dhs88). I love the brush and even coverage it gives.”

Signature scent: “Jo Malone Myrrh & Tonka (Dhs1,250). I have a big love of oud and it reminds me of a good friend from Saudi Arabia.”

Signature make-up hack: “Soft brown on the inner corner of the eyes, winged eyeliner, then mascara on just the outer lashes to give your eyes that cat-eye lift.”

Skincare routine: “In the morning I cleanse and tone with Salima Skin Purifying Cleanser and Derma-glow Toner (Dhs210), then I moisturise with Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Cream (Dhs110). On the evening I remove my make-up with Face Halo and use Estée Lauder Night Repair Eye Cream (Dhs216). It creates a layer under my eyes, and fills in my creases for night.”

Go-to product for skin emergencies: “Origins Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gel dries out any mini breakouts I have in 4 to 5 days. Garnier Skin’s Hydrating Sheet Mask (Dhs11) is so soothing and really hydrates my dry skin.”

Flight essentials: Carmex Lipbalm (flights usually dry my lips out like crazy), Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado (Dhs132) to help hydrate my eyes, and The Body Shop lip tint to give some colour to my cheeks and lips after a long flight.”

Miracle product: “Salima Skin Solutions Blemish Blast Concentrate and Ultra-Rejuvenating Mask (Dhs224) has really helped my blemishes over the years.”

Manicure: “Essie Mademoiselle is a cute, neutral colour that matches all my outfits.”

Suncream: “Salima Skin Solutions Sunblock.”

Food intolerances: “I’m lactose intolerant.”

Go-to snack: “Ginger biscuits with a cup of PG Tips tea is my weakness!”

Workout: “I’m so busy, but when I have time it’s a quick 15-minute full-body workout at home and a 10-minute outdoor walk around my block.”

Beverage: “I die for a peach iced tea or freshly juiced orange and raspberries.”

Food dislikes: “Avocado (big time!) and truffles, they’re way too strong.”
