For Virginie Viard’s first-ever solo collection for Chanel, the designer ushered in a new era of the French fashion house while staying true to Karl’s vision. In quintessential Chanel style, Viard didn’t compromise on the theatrics of the setting, and transformed the Grand Palais into a Beaux-Arts style train station, perhaps symbolising, perhaps, the journey and adventure the brand is about to embark on.
