The story of Joséphine, wife of Napoleon Bonaparte and Empress of the French, is a tale like no other; while she may be best-known as the love interest of the emperor she was, in her own right, a force to be reckoned with, a trailblazer in her own time and a style icon — all before becoming the muse of Parisienne high jewellery house Chaumet.

Recently, the house paid homage to its ultimate muse, celebrating the pieces inspired by the essence of her personality, along with the entire Inimitable Joséphine collection in an exclusive, immersive experience a the heart of DIFC. Mirrored walls and the classic blue hue of the brand, combined with the glittering jewels were a sight to behold…

Inspired entirely by Joséphine — who was considered well ahead of her time, with her contemporary style of dressing — the regal yet avant-garde collection was brought to life within the exquisite decor of the exhibition, which mimicked elements of the historical Hôtel Particulier of the 12, Place Vendôme that the house calls home in Paris, France.
