Introducing his SS21 collection with a short documentary, titled Timeless Thoughts, the Italian designer shares a glimpse into how he continuously reinvents his visions for the house while staying true to his roots

Arguable one of the most iconic Italian fashion designers in modern history, Giorgio Armani is known for taking a fresh approach when creating and presenting his newest collections — and his newest collection for Spring/Summer 2021 collection is not exception.

The short-film documentary, which premiered before the digital presentation of his Spring/Summer 2021 collection, chronicles the iconic Italian designer’s journey from his start in the industry to the present, highlighting the importance of remaining true to one’s roots.

“His vision remains the same as it was 45 years ago and so does his modernity. Indeed it’s not only his thoughts, but also his work is timeless,” says Italian award-winning actor, Pierfrancesco Favino, who narrates the short film.

The digital show, presented in traditional catwalk format, unveiled a troop of models dressed in soft hues and fluid materials (which appeared to be equally soft and luxurious in texture), leading into impeccably tailored suiting and Japonesque-inspired pieces – perfect for day to night dressing.

Bazaar shares a closer look at the SS21 collection, along with a few of our favourite looks from the collection, along with Timelesss Thoughts which can be watched below.
