Modestwear Meets Old Hollywood In Julia Clancey’s S/S20 Collection
Featuring eye-popping shades, retro prints and a smattering of sequins this collection is an absolute must for your glam island getaway
Much sought-after LA-based designer Julia Clancey is renowned for her attention to detail and love of vintage – just ask Madonna, who commissioned her to create custom accessories for her Rebel Heart Tour in 2015.
This season, however, Julia draws inspiration from the iconic glamour of the Golden Age of Hollywood, as captured through the lens of prolific American photographer Slim Aarons.
“The collection aspires to encapsulate an effortless luxury. Whether in true Old Hollywood style heading to Palm Springs for the holidays, camel rides in Egypt or sundowners in Ibiza, we have every look covered,” the designer tells Bazaar. “Slim Aarons famously captured the essence of this mood none more so than in his iconic poolside shot”
Featuring eye-popping shades, retro prints and a smattering of sequins, we’re sure if Slim were still around today, he’d be a big fan.
