Downtown Design Makes Its Riyadh Debut
Mirroring the Kingdom’s rich talent amidst an iconic heritage site, the inaugural Downtown Design Riyadh will prove why design is a crucial part of the country’s culture
Downtown Design has made its mark around the world, giving regional designers a platform to showcase their talent on a global stage. Over the past decade, the fair has become a catalyst for creative growth in the Middle East. Now, after much anticipation, excitement and demand, the leading fair is set to debut in Saudi Arabia later this year. Downtown Design Riyadh will take place 20-23 May in JAX District, a creative hub that blends pioneering cultural infrastructure with the mesmerising backdrop of the historic UNESCO World Heritage Site of Al-Turaif. Crafted from mudbrick in a traditional Najdi style, the regal Al-Turaif citadel was once the beating heart of Diriyah, setting the stage for the birth of Saudi Arabia.
The inaugural fair will reflect the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 of cultural diversity, positioning the Saudi Arabian interior design market on the world map. From Huda Lighting and Cosentino to Iwan Maktabi, Natuzzi and Lasvit, many much-loved brands will be exhibiting their new collections and showcasing design excellence through bespoke glass installations, cutting-edge furniture, lighting solutions and more. Fairgoers can expect four days of immersive creativity, inspiration and innovation.

Held in partnership with the Saudi Arabia Architecture and Design Commission of the Ministry of Culture, Downtown Design Riyadh runs from 20-23 May 2025 in the JAX District in Riyadh.
