Ahmed Seddiqi Celebrates 75 Years Of Horological Excellence
In honour of Ahmed Seddiqi’s 75th diamond milestone, a radiant cast of limited edition creations capture the magic of the moment
Before Dubai became synonymous with glittering jewellery souks and luxury shopping districts, there was Ahmed Seddiqi. For 75 years, the family-run company has set the standard for horological excellence and fine jewellery in the region. Rooted in rich family traditions and a deep passion for watchmaking, Ahmed Seddiqi’s ever-expanding network of boutiques has become a cornerstone of luxury retail in the UAE – and now in Saudi Arabia with the opening of their first boutique in Riyadh in September of this year.

Over the decades, Ahmed Seddiqi has introduced the Middle East to the world’s most prestigious brands including Rolex, Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe. To celebrate this remarkable birthday, the group has collaborated with some of the world’s most esteemed watchmakers and jewellery brands to create a series of exclusive anniversary pieces – each crafted to commemorate 75 years of timeless excellence.
With the launch of over 20 limited edition pieces, collectors have the rare opportunity to own unique creations unavailable anywhere else in the world. Among these standout pieces is the Hublot Classic Fusion 75th Anniversary Edition, featuring a rich burgundy dial adorned with Arabic numerals and a specially designed anniversary emblem at 12 o’clock. Crafted in titanium with a diamond-set bezel, it pays tribute to a partnership that began in the 1980s – a testament to the enduring partnership between Hublot and Ahmed Seddiqi over the years.

Another highlight comes from the West End Watch Co., a brand that has tested its pieces in the Swiss Alps for the past 130 years. They were also the very first to sign a partnership with Ahmed Seddiqi – and the inspiration behind the anniversary series.

The result? Specially designed wrist and pocket watches. The automatic wristwatch features numbers and branding written in Arabic script, and is inspired by West End’s most iconic models. With either a red or black sun-pattern-dial and diamond-cut motif, the face reflects like a gemstone, adding to its glamour. The pocket watch’s design hails from original models designed for the Indian army and railways. Its dial features Hindi numerals and the pear-shaped hands making for a striking style feature. Both of these watches have engraved casebacks with a quote from the founder, Mr. Ahmed Qassim Seddiqi: “West End – Mother of all Swiss watch brands.”
The Gerard Charles partnership began decades ago and remains stronger than ever today. The latest masterpiece, the Maestro 2.0 Ultra-Thin Tiger’s Eye, features a Swiss-manufactured calibre that is truly one of a kind. Combining a mesmerising tiger’s eye dial with a brand-new colour-mix finish, this exceptional timepiece is limited to 20, making it a final call for collectors.

Chopard is another iconic brand who share a remarkable partnership with Ahmed Seddiqi that continues to flourish today. To celebrate this milestone anniversary, Chopard presents an exclusive line from the Happy Diamonds collection. Available in both rose and white gold, the necklace and earrings set showcases the iconic dancing diamonds that define this contemporary, coveted collection.

With a curated portfolio of over 100 watch and jewellery brands spanning 75 years, Ahmed Seddiqi’s legacy continues to shine brightly. These exclusive capsules are a testament to its enduring vision – ensuring that watch and jewellery enthusiasts alike remain captivated for generations to come.
