Alia Bhatt is Gucci’s First Indian Brand Ambassador

She’ll make her first appearance in the role of brand ambassador at the upcoming Cruise 2024 show in Seoul next week

Alia Bhatt has a lot on in the pipeline. Set to make her Hollywood debut this summer in Netflix’s Heart of Stone, the award-winning actress and producer (and new mother) has quite a lot on her plate — and isn’t slowing down any time soon.

Alia Bhatt is Gucci’s First Indian Brand Ambassador

On Thursday morning, WWD revealed that the Harper’s Bazaar Arabia May 2023 cover star is Gucci’s newest brand ambassador and the first Indian to be tapped for the role. Alia will make her debut as the brand’s newest face at the upcoming Cruise 2024 show, which is set to take place on Tuesday in Seoul, South Korea.

“2022 was the most momentous year of my life in terms of milestones. But for me, every day of 2023 is surprising,” Alia tell Harper’s Bazaar Arabia Editor in Chief, Olivia Phillips, in our May 2023 cover story. “Whatever decision I make, if it feels right, I’ll do it. But if it doesn’t feel right, you’ll always see me taking 16 steps back. I could be offered the biggest movie, the biggest team, but if it doesn’t feel right, I wouldn’t be able to take that step forward.”
