Excited For MDLBeast? Here Are 4 More Festivals Coming to Saudi Arabia This Winter

From art events to heritage workshops, wellness retreats, and much more “Moments of AlUla” will host a number of exciting activities you certainly won’t want to miss…

Saudi Arabia’s living museum, the AlUla desert, is described as a work of art sculpted by one of nature’s master artists. Located in the northwest of The Kingdom, this pristine piece of land has been a hot spot for numerous events, activities and performances, and we’re excited to finally share AlUla’s upcoming events calendar.

Whether you’re looking to adventure in new spaces, connect with nature through the stillness and silence of the desert, or stimulate your senses, AlUla promises an extraordinary experience like no other, offering an abundance of music, art, heritage, wellness, culture and gastronomy among the land’s illusory dunes, lush valleys and dramatic rock formations.

After a brief pause in 2020, AlUla returns with four exciting festivals at the enchanting location; Bazaar shares everything you need to know here…

Winter at Tantora

December 21 to February 12

To celebrate the start of the 40 day winter growing season, AlUla returns with its annual Winter at Tantora festival, where attendees can enjoy a number of live shows, heritage workshops, a Citrus Festival and equestrian events, including the eagerly-awaited haute couture horse fashion event, Ikmah Fashion Calvary. Winter at Tantora will be kicked off firstly with a stunning Candlelit Symphonic Concert at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hegra.

AlUla Arts

February 13 to March 31

To inspire creativity and promote artistic collaborations, AlUla Arts will be dynamically celebrating AlUla’s ancient heritage and legacy as a cultural crossroads, as a diverse array of artistic talents will take part in contemporary art exhibitions hosted at the award-winning Maraya, the largest mirrored building in the world, as well as activities, performances and film screenings at the outdoor Cinema El Housh.

AlUla Skies

February 27 to March 12

From the volcanic planes to the ancient heritage sites, AlUla’s stunning scenery may be best enjoyed from above. AlUla Skies offers various ways of flying – or floating – over the landscape, including hot air balloons, vintage planes, and helicopter rides. Additionally, AlUla Skies is offering a high-tech stargazing sight-and-sound experience as well as a musical performance titled “Symphony Under The Stars.”

AlUla’s Wellness Festival

From March 17 to March 27

To wrap up the festival season, AlUla’s cultural oasis will become a focal point for wellness and relaxation. Bringing guests another sanctuary within the sanctuary, attendees will immerse themselves in thought-provoking and sensory installations at the Garden Of Moments, yoga sessions, sound-healing, meditations, and expert-led group fitness classes to keep those endorphins on high.

Moreover, AlUla will be offering loads of new adventures such as mountain biking and challenging new hikes, in addition to a variety of dining experiences, including a Michelin star restaurant.
