The First Andy Warhol Exhibition Is Coming To Dubai

The iconic artist’s works will be presented in Dubai for the first time in September

Modern art fans rejoice: pop-cult icon Andy Warhol is to hold an exhibition in Dubai for the very first time. While it isn’t the first time Warhol’s works have been displayed in the GCC region – a collection of works came to Al Ula, Saudi Arabia last year – a Dubai debut is eagerly anticipated among art enthusiasts.

The exhibition will be titled Andy Warhol: The Glam Factory, and will be unveiled at The Foundry in Downtown Dubai, from September 17 to October 31, 2024. A hub for the ever-evolving art and cultural scene in the UAE, The Foundry is a fitting venue for the avant-garde artist’s first foray in the city.

The exhibition will include some of Warhol’s most iconic works. The curation includes some of his greatest masterpieces, produced from 1954 to 1987, including the Marilyn Monroe 1967 masterpiece. It has also been confirmed that the experience will also include a lavish replica of Studio 54, where Warhol partied with celebrity, designer, and supermodel friends.

Tickets can be bought on Fever, and visitors won’t be disappointed – the exhibition promises to prove Warhol’s influence in revolutionizing the 20th-century art scene.
