Many travellers aspire to visit the United States, to see the Grand Canyon and Redwood forest, the hustle and bustle of New York City and sandy beaches of Miami. Unfortunately, while a stateside adventure has long been on our budget list, residents in the UAE are posed with a separate set of challenges when trying to obtain a tourist visa: wait times.

With visa appointments reportedly being available from October 2024 at the earliest in the Dubai consulate, and November 2024 at the Abu Dhabi embassy it is near impossible to travel to America on a whim.

One expert, however, reckons he has found an alternative method to obtaining a visa in a timely fashion…

The Khaleej Times spoke with Subair Thekepurathvalappil, a senior manager for inbound and outbound operations at Regal Tours Worldwide, who has revealed what could best be described as an alternative way for UAE residents to obtain a US visa in a timely manner – possibly as quick as just a few days.

Freedom of movement within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) enables UAE Residents and Citizens to travel to neighbouring GCC countries, where they can secure appointments within a week. The only catch? It will require traveling to another GCC country to complete the visa process, including the interview portion.
