Artdom Russia Is Making Its Debut In Riyadh

From Moscow to the Middle East, ARTDOM, the international exhibition of collectible furniture, interiors and contemporary art is heading to Saudi

Following its success across Russia, ARTDOM will make its Middle Eastern debut in Riyadh from 11–12 November, showcasing never-before-seen international designers in the region. Founder Daria Zolotova discusses the Kingdom’s art and design scene and curating this first-of-its-kind design exhibition.

Firstly, in a nutshell, what is ARTDOM?

It’s an international project group connecting leading players in the interior and design industry across Europe, the Middle East and beyond. Its activities include curated exhibitions, design tours and development forums — creating a platform where global expertise meets local markets. ARTDOM also helps companies build strong connections, expand internationally and shape the future of the design industry.

You’re bringing the event to the Middle East for the first time. Why Saudi, why now?

I see Saudi Arabia entering a new era. Riyadh is experiencing one of the world’s largest waves of urban development — from residential projects and luxury hotels to cultural institutions and commercial hubs — creating an unprecedented demand for innovative design solutions. For me, ARTDOM is not just about showcasing design; it’s about building a dialogue between international expertise and local traditions, values and ambitions. Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 has created an extraordinary environment where creativity, innovation and economic growth come together, and I want ARTDOM to contribute to that transformation.

How will the Saudi exhibition differ from previous ARTDOM events?

What makes Riyadh unique is the congress format. Instead of an expo, ARTDOM here is structured as a high-level dialogue — a forum where designers, developers, investors and cultural leaders can exchange ideas across industries. It’s not just about products on display; it’s about policy, strategy and innovation in design as a driver of social and economic change. The event will also highlight Saudi Arabia’s distinct role as a connector. It’s a meeting ground of East and West, tradition and modernity, giving the exhibition a multi-layered cultural dimension that’s best explored at this historical moment.

What are the key highlights for Saudi’s debut event?

We expect more than 120 international design brands, manufacturers and over 3,000 buyers from across the Middle East — including Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Oman. The fair will run various educational and cultural programmes and host curated exhibitions and installations with a focus on collectible design and interiors, as well as hosting ambassadors of global design, including Carlo Colombo, Giulio Cappellini, Draga & Aurel, Rosanna Orlandi and Francesca Rosso.

How should visitors make the most of ARTDOM Riyadh?

Attend the keynote talks and panels with our international ambassadors — hearing their vision first-hand is unmissable; Experience the special curated installations and immersive projects that transform design into an emotional journey; Discover collaborations with local artists and designers, as they celebrate Saudi Arabia’s creative voice; Connect with emerging talents through open competitions and showcase to shop the next generation of design leaders. And take part in the networking forums, as ARTDOM is as much about building relationships as it is about discovering design.
