The Bijoux Bag Charms Trending At The Ambani Wedding
Amongst the plethora of mind-blowingly beautiful jewels at the Ambani wedding, Ashna Mehta’s bag charms seriously stood out
The Ambani wedding was a sea of sensational fashion and fine jewels, for three-days straight. With some guests wearing hundreds of carats of diamonds at a time, a piece of jewellery had to be really spectacular to stand out. It is, however, a tiny bag charm by Ashna Mehta that has turned heads – jewellery influencer Julia Hackman Chafé spotted them upon a flurry of Hermes Birkin bags at the Ambani celebrations, and the charms have since gone viral on Tik Tok.
Officially launching the charms on ashna-mehta.com this week, the Dubai-based designer now offers two prêt à porter evil eye designs and a monogram letter charm, but has also crafted more extravagant bespoke bag charms for private clients.
This isn’t the first time that the designer has received media attention – Ashna crafted the diamond ‘Barbie’ necklace famously worn by Nicki Minaj, which is currently on display at the exhibition Ice Cold: An Exhibition of Hip-Hop Jewelry at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
While Ashna’s bag charm collection only currently includes a few designs, we suspect that we will be seeing many more bedecked Birkins at Dubai Fashion Week soon.
