Balad Beast: An Electrifying Experience Of Music, Dance And Live Performances

Rick Ross, Carl Cox, Busta Rhymes, and Xzibit join more than 30 artists for a two-night music festival in Saudi Arabia’s Al-Balad courtyards, part of Jeddah’s historic old town

In what can best be described as a thoroughly electrifying experience of rave music featuring live performances by some of the biggest names in EDM, dance music, and hip-hop, the Balad Beast music festival was an unforgettable affair, second only to the XP Music Futures and SOUNDSTORM in Riyadh by MDLBEAST, held just a week earlier.

Featuring local, regional, and international artists who put up a spectacular entertainment extravaganza spread across the Al-Balad courtyards in Jeddah, the two-night Balad Beast music festival held on December 9 and 10, 2022, brought together artists and communities to inspire generations, create art, and bond over music from a variety of genres.

Organized by Saudi music entertainment company MDLBEAST, a music entertainment company committed to growing talent, the festival saw Italian music production and DJ duo, Tale of Us performing alongside the likes of Rick Ross, DJ Salvatore Ganacci, Vinyl Mode, Xzbit, Tamtam, Dana Hourani, and Ntitled, to name just a few. An ecstatic set of revellers, many residents, and other visitors from all over the world set out to make the most of the music festival which lit up the ancient architecture of Jeddah’s Old Town.

This was the first time that an event of such a scale was held at the ancient site, spread across five traditional Al-Balad courtyards listed under the UNESCO World Heritage site. “You must definitely see the growth, see the energy, see the culture and hip-hop growing. To see a gathering such as this with the different stages, different artists, local, and international. This is big!” said American hip-hop star Rick Ross, perfectly capturing the experience.
