Cartier Expands In The Kingdom

Cartier has opened a glittering new Riyadh store in Solitaire Mall, brimming with the maison’s gleaming fine jewellery collections and one-of-a-kind creations

In the heart of Riyadh, Cartier has unveiled a space that’s more than a boutique—it’s a poetic celebration of place and prestige. The maison’s 4th boutique in Saudi Arabia, its new Solitaire Mall store cements Cartier’s commitment to the region, and has been suitably lavished with ultra-luxe interiors to welcome clients into the rarefied world of its precious creations. At the helm of this vision is Bruno Carraz, managing director of Cartier KSA, whose passion for the region’s cultural richness and evolving luxury landscape has shaped an in-store experience like no other.

“Saudi Arabia has positioned itself as a leading destination for high-end shopping,” Carraz explains, noting the country’s burgeoning luxury scene and its youthful, taste-driven audience. “There’s a unique opportunity to expand our activities and share Cartier’s timeless designs while offering personalised experiences both in-store and online.”

But this is no ordinary retail venture. The new boutique is a masterclass in highly-considered curation—where the codes of Cartier meet the soul of the Saudi desert. With interiors inspired by the ever-shifting hues of the sand, from sunrise to sunset, the space is awash in warm, natural tones that invite contemplation and wonder. “We wanted to celebrate the bond between Cartier and Saudi Arabia,” says Carraz. “This boutique is a tribute to the country.”

At its heart, is a bespoke masterpiece by French artist Cédric Peltier. Crafted using paint and 24-karat gold leaf delicately applied to linen canvas—a technique dating back to the 15th century—his work transforms the boutique’s focus wall into an homage to the local landscape. A panther, Cartier’s eternal emblem, strides elegantly through desert dunes towards a tranquil oasis, while Riyadh’s skyline appears like a mirage on the horizon.

The boutique’s offerings are no less considered. Alongside Cartier’s beloved signatures—including LOVE, Juste un Clou, and Clash de Cartier—this visionary space is home to pieces of rare and regal exclusivity. The store proudly holds the worldwide debut of the new Panthère de Cartier Watch, a high-jewellery interpretation of Cartier’s iconic bracelet, while numbered editions of the Ronde Louis Cartier Métiers d’Art and the Tank Louis Cartier will appeal to local collectors and connoisseurs.

Then there’s the High Jewellery. Shown only to in-boutique clients, these one-of-a-kind marvels are Cartier’s ode to craftsmanship at its most exquisite—drawing upon its decades of artisanal experience crafting some of the world’s most historic jewels.

It seems that in Riyadh, Cartier has created more than a boutique; it has sculpted a sanctuary. As the panther walks across painted dunes, so too does Cartier stride confidently into a new era in the Kingdom—an era defined by artistry, exclusivity, and the enduring magic of the maison.
